Cristina Castillo has a master’s in Educational Psychology with a specialization in School Counseling from SIUC.

She has a passion for empowering and validating students of all ethnic backgrounds and strives to make the students feel welcomed and worthy of her time. Cristina sees the First Scholars as beautiful seeds of knowledge, strength, and resilience, eager to be cultivated, believed in, and listened to in order to grow into tangible dreams and achieve their college degree. She works tirelessly to Will the Good and instills self-care and wellness in the First Scholars to make them aware of the importance of self-care to become better selves, and a positive influence in our society.
